I love the modernity of the shots. The photographer isn't trying to make her conventionally beautiful -he's playing with light and darkness and using her as a canvass - beautiful.

There's a Marie Claire out this month with the South Asian model Alyssah Ali - hope you can put her photoshoot up.

Also I guess you don't have access to South Asian magazines like L'Official or Vogue - b/c there's plenty of S. Asians that I never see here - they are so gorgeous and interesting! Hope you show a more diverse Asian models.

God..I love Kangana so much! She isnt nearly as gorgeous as Lashmi is, but she's got an unicity beyond comparison..i want her to work more, though! This must be her only important shoot outside india, right?! She should get so much more work!!!

Hmm...why do fashion magazines always make 'ethnic' models look apocalyptic in their attempt to appear modern and 'with it'????

Yes, yes, I'm aware that this editorial is called 'As Black As The Sun' and that's the whole point but it's freakin' ugly. This editorial does not sell these garments.

This model isn't conventionally beautiful and that's great, diversity and all that jazz and playing with chiaroscuro is fine and dandy for the sake of art by why make her look like she needs an upper-lip wax???
